Thank you! to everyone who came by with materials to recycle and thank you for your donations, which will benefit programs for the NE Broadway business district. Thanks also to our wonderful volunteers who helped make this all possible, and especially Chris Gauger at Here We Go Again Deluxe Resale for putting the event together. Thanks also to the kind owners of the 2100 NE Broadway Building for letting us use their parking lot. We collected a truckfull of shred paper and many huge bags of Styrofoam to help make the world a better (and cleaner) place.

The NE Broadway Business Association again sponsored NE Lights on Broadway last December, an annual holiday-season event that's over 15 years old. There were great deals and wonderful events from over 50 participating businesses throughout the month, plus roving carolers, elves, jugglers and musicians. Lights on NE Broadway once again highlighted how much the NE Broadway business district has to offer: Everything!
New for 2011 was Ladies Night Out on NE Broadway on December 8th, which was a huge success. Over 20 businesses were open late to entertain and dazzle with spectacular holiday deals, activities, pampering, and delicious food & drinks. With all the flash sales, special events, free gifts, door prizes and complimentary refreshments at the participating shops, everyone needed a food & drink specials from one of the participating restaurants to top off the evening. It was a great evening of shopping and fun on NE Broadway!
